How billing works

Iroh Services billing is usage-based, calculated monthly. Your bill is determined by:
  • Your plan tier: each plan includes a base set of features and resource allocations.
  • Resource usage: additional charges may apply for usage beyond what’s included in your plan, such as metrics volume or relay bandwidth.
Billing is managed through the Iroh Services dashboard. You can view your current plan, usage, and invoices at any time.

Billing terms

  • Concurrent connections are the peak number of endpoint connections active on your project’s relay service at the same time during a monthly billing cycle. They are relay connections, not the peer-to-peer application connections carried inside iroh.
  • Relay egress is data sent from an Iroh Services relay to an endpoint. Only traffic actually carried by a relay is billable relay egress. Traffic sent over a direct peer-to-peer connection does not pass through a relay and is not billed as relay egress.
  • Billing attribution assigns managed infrastructure to the project that provisioned it and endpoint usage to the project whose API key authorized the endpoint. All endpoints using a project’s key contribute to that project’s connection, egress, metrics, and diagnostics usage, regardless of where those endpoints run.
Included usage and overages are calculated over the project’s monthly billing cycle. See the pricing page for current allowances and rates.
